One of the fun things to do when planing a Las Vegas Vacation is choosing which Las Vegas Hotel to stay at. There is such an extreme range of different Las Vegas Hotels. Unless your on a tight budget, choose the Las Vegas Hotel that has the theme you think you will like the best. It could be the romance of Italy at the Bellagio, the mysteries of the pyramids at the Luxor, the Knights at the Excalibur, or the old Roman empire at Caesars Palace. So much to choose from, all it a relatively tight area, the Las Vegas Strip is only about 3 miles long. It is always very important to reserve your Las Vegas Hotel room well in advance. Especially if there is a major Las Vegas convention or a popular weekend.

The first Las Vegas Hotel located on the strip opened in 1941. The Last Frontier opened in 1942 and is now The New Frontier Las Vegas Hotel. The famous Flamingo Las Vegas opened in 1946. The Sahara Las Vegas Hotel opened in 1952. The Desert Inn opened in 1950. The Sands opened in 1952 and was replaced with the Venetian Las Vegas Hotel in 1999. The Riviera opened in 1955. The Dunes opened in 1955 and was replaced with the Bellagio Las Vegas Hotel in 1998. The Hacienda opened in 1956 and was replaced with the Mandalay Bay Las Vegas Hotel in 1999. The Tropicana opened in 1957. The Stardust opened in 1958 and in 2007 was replaced by Echelon Place Las Vegas Hotel. The Aladdin opened in 1966. Caesars Palace opened in 1966. The Marina opened in 1975 and was replaced withopened the MGM Grand in 1993. The Mirage Las Vegas Hotel opening in 1989with 3,000 plus rooms. Started the new Las Vegas wave of remodeling we still see today. The Excalibur opened in 1990. The Stratosphere Las Vegas Hotel opened in 1996. The NY NYopened in 1997. By 1998 the number of people that visits Las Vegas Hotels yearly reached 30 million people. The Paris Las Vegas Hotel opened in 1999. The Venezia Tower opens at the Venetian with just over 1,000 suites in 2003. The Spa Tower opens at the Bellagio with 900 plus rooms in 2004. In 2005 the Wynn Las Vegas Hotel opened at the old Desert Inn location. The Augusus Tower at Caesars Palace opened 2005. Red Rock Las Vegas Hotel opened in 2006. The Hooters Las Vegas Hotel (formerly the San Remo) opened in 2006.
